Hi, welcome to my virtual couples therapy page. It’s always with a heavy heart that I introduce myself to couples, because I know that you’re here in a difficult moment in your life. But as I often like to say, every challenge can be a window to growth IF you have the right intentions and are willing to work on yourselves. This willingness is especially important in the context of relationships, because we often have the strongest feelings (both positive and negative) about our significant other, and their behaviour often acts like a mirror that reflects our own best and worst tendencies back to us. So no wonder relationships are fraught with so many difficulties.
I want you to know that I’m here to help you and your partner utilize whatever difficulty you are facing as a way to not only heal your relationship, but to grow and improve yourselves individually too. My main goal in therapy is to create a strong therapeutic bond with BOTH individuals in the relationship, and to never take sides or gang up on one partner for any reason. My goal is to teach you how to hear each other, how to work as a team, and how to get back to the love that brought you together in the first place.
My practice is 100% virtual. No travel, no waiting rooms. Just focused, private sessions from the comfort of your home. I use tools from the Gottman method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), two of the most effective, research-backed methods for couples, in order to help you resolve the issues that have brought you to therapy. Together, we’ll create a safe space where both of you feel heard, understood, and supported. I offer:

- Strategies to break entrenched patterns of interaction that lead nowhere
- Heal wounds of betrayal and broken trust

Meet Your Therapist
Hi, I’m Ari, a Certified Canadian Counsellor (CCC) and therapist specializing in couples and relationship therapy. As a married man myself, I bring to my practice what I learn every day in my own life as I work to cultivate a happy and healthy relationship. I believe that even when a partnership feels broken, meaningful connection is still possible if both partners are honestly committed to working on the relationship. Unfortunately, sometimes even fully committed couples are missing the tools and information they need to get past their wounds and heal. Other times, couples just need an unbiased third person to help them clarify and communicate their perspectives clearly without getting sidetracked by past hurts and arguments. This is exactly where I come in.
I teach couples to talk directly and effectively about their feelings, rebuild trust and communication, and reconnect emotionally. Together we’ll create a safe and supportive space to work through challenges and find clarity on the next steps for your relationship. Insurance and Fees
Most extended health plans cover sessions with Certified Canadian Counsellors. If you are unsure of your coverage, feel free to reach out and I can help you confirm your plan with your provider. You can find my current fee schedule here.
