Couples

Individual
Individual therapy is a personalized, one-on-one mental health service that provides a safe and confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and challenges. Ari will work collaboratively with you to develop tailored strategies for addressing your unique concerns, whether they involve anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or personal growth. Through regular sessions, you’ll gain valuable insights, learn effective coping mechanisms, and work towards achieving your goals. Our approach is compassionate and evidence-based, designed to help you navigate life’s difficulties and foster lasting positive change.
Family
Family therapy is a collaborative approach designed to strengthen family relationships and improve overall family functioning. Ari will work with all family members to address a wide range of challenges, including communication breakdowns, conflicts, and mental health concerns affecting the family unit. In sessions, Ari will create a safe and supportive environment where each family member can express their thoughts and feelings openly and help families develop healthy boundaries, enhance communication skills, and promote effective problem-solving strategies. Our goal is to foster a deeper understanding of family dynamics and create a more nurturing environment for all members.
Prices and Insurance Coverage:
My rates are $160 for 60 minute sessions, $200 for 75 minute sessions, and $240 for 90 minute sessions. 60 minute sessions are the norm, but sometimes longer 75 minute or 90 minute sessions are necessary, especially in couples therapy and family therapy where more individuals are involved. Length of sessions is something that we will discuss before starting sessions depending on your circumstances and needs.
Insurance coverage for counselling services provided by a Canadian Certified Counsellor (C.C.C.) varies by plan. Most insurance providers, such as Pacific Blue Cross, Equitable Life, Sun Life, ManuLife, and Green Shield cover sessions with a C.C.C., and the list continues to grow every day as new regulations are put in place. For this reason, it is essential to check with your specific insurance provider to confirm coverage details, including the number of sessions, reimbursement rates, and any pre-approval requirements. Always verify your plan’s specifics to ensure your counselling services are covered.
Sliding Scale Rates
I still strive to make therapy services affordable even for individuals or families who do not have coverage. I maintain a small number of slots at a more affordable, sliding scale price point, depending on your needs and income levels, though often there are wait times .
